The external module JUMO ER8/EL8 expands the instruments
JUMO DICON 400/500/401/501, JUMO
IMAGO 500, JUMO
LOGOPRINT 500 and JUMO LOGOLINE 500/500d by eight relay
outputs (ER8) or logic outputs (EL8). The functions of the outputs are
defined in the instrument that is connected, or via the setup
program. Communication takes place through the serial interface.
(1) Supply voltage
LED, green; lights up when the supply is connected
(2) Status indicators
LED, yellow; lights up when the output is active.
(3) Fault indicator
LED, red; blinks when the data transmission from the inst-
rument to the external relay module is interrupted or faulty.
In the event of an error, a continuous attempt is made to
restore the data transmission.
The outputs are inactive.

If a communication via PC-Interface is established while
operating the ER8/EL8 with the LOGOLINE 500/500d,
DICON 400/500/401/501 and IMAGO 500 (also COM1), the
device will interrupt the data transmission and the fault
indicator will blink.
