Air Intake System
A. Air Filter Check
1. Perform “Shut-Down Procedure” on page 4-3.
2. Locate precleaner (1) on top of engine cover, loosen wing nut (2) and remove
cover (3) from precleaner canister.
3. Remove dust from bowl.
4. Replace bowl and secure cover.
5. Open engine cover.
6. Locate air cleaner (4) and remove dust from vacuator valve (5) by squeezing
bottom of valve to allow loose particles to fall out.
7. Close and secure engine cover.
Note: Only remove canister cover to service the elements as restriction indicator
indicates. Excessive access to check an element can lead to premature element
failure.
