8.2.2.
Timer Option
Use the timer option to count down in hours toward powering the heater OFF (Figure 26).
When the timer is ON, the delayed
contact remains closed allowing
power to the heater. The range
display increments from 0 and the
Timing LED blinks slowly. When
the preset value is reached and the
timing cycle is complete, the Timing
LED blinks rapidly and the delayed
contact opens and shuts off the
heater. The heater remains off until
either the
TIMER
switch is turned
OFF, or reset.
Range and Decimal Point Switches
are available only when the Time is
not mounted in the panel, to
discourage tampering.
Actual timer may vary from the model pictured (Figure 26).
8.2.2.1. Operating the Timer
1. Rotate each knob to the desired time setting.
2. Turn the Timer Switch to ON. The timer is now incrementing from 0 to the desired setting.
3. Set the
HEATER
switch to ON, if not already ON.
4. When the timer reaches the preset value, the heater shuts OFF.
5. To reset the timer, set the Timer Switch OFF then to ON.
6. To manually control the time, set Timer Switch OFF.
