8.2.2.

Timer Option

Use the timer option to count down in hours toward powering the heater OFF (Figure 26).

When the timer is ON, the delayed

contact remains closed allowing

power to the heater. The range

display increments from 0 and the

Timing LED blinks slowly. When

the preset value is reached and the

timing cycle is complete, the Timing

LED blinks rapidly and the delayed

contact opens and shuts off the

heater. The heater remains off until

either the

TIMER

switch is turned

OFF, or reset.

Range and Decimal Point Switches

are available only when the Time is

not mounted in the panel, to

discourage tampering.

Actual timer may vary from the model pictured (Figure 26).

8.2.2.1. Operating the Timer

1. Rotate each knob to the desired time setting.

2. Turn the Timer Switch to ON. The timer is now incrementing from 0 to the desired setting.

3. Set the

HEATER

switch to ON, if not already ON.

4. When the timer reaches the preset value, the heater shuts OFF.

5. To reset the timer, set the Timer Switch OFF then to ON.

6. To manually control the time, set Timer Switch OFF.
