OPERATION
1. Slide the “Off/On Switch” (3-2, Fig. 1) to the “On” position.
2. Select the maximum range on the “Range Switch” (3-3, Fig. 1).
3. Hold the “Light Sensor” (3-5, Fig. 1) by hand & face the measuring light
opposite, then the Display (3-1, Fig. 1) will show light values directly.
4. Zero (offset) adjustment: For the normal operation, it is not necessary
to make the Zero adjustment. However for the precise measurement,
the following “Zero adjustment” procedures should be performed as:
a) Power on the meter
b) Select the measuring range: Range A
(0 – 199.9 Fc, 3-3, Fig. 1)
c) Cover the Light Sensor (3-5, Fig. 1) completely.
d) Adjust the Zero Adjust VR (3-6, Fig. 1) until the display
shows 0.
At range B (200 – 1,999 Fc) the unit shall display light values less than or
equal to 200 Fc. If the measured light value falls below 200 Fc, select the
“Range Switch” to lower the range (Range A) for a higher resolution reading.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1. When “LO BAT” appears on the LCD it is necessary to change the
battery.
2. Slide the Battery Cover (3-4, fig. 1) away from the instrument and
remove the battery.
3. Replace the 9V battery and replace the cover.
4. Make sure the battery cover is secured after changing the battery.
