BEFORE USE
Before using this Hygrometer/Thermometer, place your thumb on the ribbed area on
the back of the unit and slide the battery cover off. Remove the red tab so that the
battery will make proper contact at the terminals. Replace the battery cover.
THERMOMETER FEATURES Displaying °F or °C
To display the ambient (IN) and probe (OUT) temperature in either Fahrenheit or
Celsius, slide the switch on the back of the unit to the appropriate setting, °F for
Fahrenheit or °C for Celsius.
Displaying Ambient /Probe Temperature
To display the ambient (IN) temperature, press the IN/OUT button until IN appears at
the top of the display.
To display the probe (OUT) temperature, press the IN/OUT button until OUT appears
at the top of the display.
External Temperature Probe
The external temperature probe may be used to monitor temperatures in air/gas,
liquids, and semi-solids. Both the probe and cable may be totally immersed in water.
HYGROMETER FEATURES
The unit will display the ambient relative humidity. The humidity sensor is located
inside the case of the unit, the probe supplied is for temperature only.
COMFORT—
Appears when the temperature is between 68 and 77 °F (20
and 25 °C) and the relative humidity is between 40 and 70%~
WET—
Appears when the relative humidity is over 70% regardless of the
temperature.
DRY—
Appears when the relative humidity is under 40% regardless of the
temperature.
No message will appear when the temperature is below 68°F (20°C) or higher than
77°F (25° C) and the relative humidity is between 40 and 70%.
MEMORY RECALL
1.
Press the MIN button once to recall minimum temperature and humidity, MIN will
appear on the display to the left of the temperature and humidity readings. To
toggle between displaying the minimum ambient (IN) and minimum probe (OUT)
temperature, press the IN/OUT button.
2.
Press the MIN button again to return to the current temperature and humidity
displays, MIN will no longer appear on the display.
3.
Press the MAX button once to recall maximum temperature and humidity, MAX
will appear on the display to the left of the temperature and humidity readings.
To toggle between displaying the maximum ambient (IN) and maximum probe
(OUT) temperature, press the IN/OUT button.
4.
Press the MAX button again to return to the current temperature arid humidity
displays, MAX will no longer appear on the display.
MINIMUM MEMORY RESET
1.
Press the MIN button once to recall the minimum temperature and humidity, MIN
will appear on the display to the left of the temperature and humidity readings.
2.
Select the minimum temperature that you would like to reset (ambient or probe).
To toggle between displaying the minimum ambient (IN) and minimum probe
(OUT) temperature, press the IN/OUT button.
3.
Press the MEM. RESET button located on the back of the unit to reset the
minimum temperature being displayed and humidity. This will set their minimum
readings to the current readings.
Note: Pressing the MEM. RESET button will only reset the temperature that is being
displayed (ambient or probe, it will not reset both. To reset both, you must repeat steps
2 and 3 selecting one then the other.

Press the MIN button again to return to the current temperature and humidity
display, MIN will no longer appear on the display.
MAXIMUM MEMORY RESET
1.
Press the MAX button once to recall the maximum temperature and humidity,
MAX will appear on the display to the left of the temperature and humidity
readings.

Select the maximum temperature that you would like to reset (ambient or probe).
To toggle between displaying the maximum ambient (IN) and maximum probe
(OUT) temperature, press the IN/OUT button.

WIRE SENSOR HOLDER
A wire holder is provided with the unit for holding the external sensor. Place a screw or
nail through the hole of the wireholder to mount the sensor on a wall.
WALL MOUNTING
The unit is provided with a receptacle for wall mounting. Set a screw into the wall at
the location desired. The head of the screw will need to slip into the receptacle on the
back of the unit. Do not set the screw flush to the wall. Once the screw has been set
properly, hang the unit in place by sliding the receptacle on the back of the unit over
the head of the screw. The unit may also be mounted by using the Velcro™ supplied.
BENCH STAND
The unit is supplied with a bench stand that is a part of The case. To use the bench
stand, locate the small rectangular opening on either side of cover. Place your
fingernail into the opening arid flip the stand up. To close the stand, simply snap it
shut.
ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this Hygrometer/Thermometer does not function property for any reason, please
replace the battery with a new high quality battery (see “Battery Replacement”
section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any number of “apparent”
operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will solve most
difficulties,
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, no display, or BATT appearing on the display are all
indicators that the batteries must be replaced. Remove the battery cover by sliding it in
the direction indicated by the arrow. Remove the exhausted battery and install a new
AAA Alkaline battery. Replace the battery cover.
