6.2 Wireless Client – Encryption

Click the entry on the left hand navigation panel for Wireless Client – Encryption. This directs you to the

Wireless Client – Encryption page. This is used to configure the security for the wireless client. This is an

important page to set up to ensure that your client is working correctly.

There are six options under System Configuration:

Open (WEP)

Shared (WEP)

` WPA-PSK

` WPA-EAP-TLS

` WPA2-PSK

` WPA2-EAP-TLS

6.2.1 Open

This is one of WEP Authentication Type. Select None, 64-bit, 128-bit or 152 - it encryption and enter the

WEP key. That same WEP key must also be set on each wireless clients/AP those are to become part of the

wireless network.




























` Key Generator: The “Key generator” function generates a randomized encryption key of the appropriate

length automatically. The key is initially shown in plain text so the

user has the opportunity to copy the key. Once the Key is applied, there is no

longer displayed in plain text.
