Reporting delivers system administrator a quick insight to network traffic and storage space
utilization with graphical charts, enhancing the management on a corporate network.
In this chapter, it will be discussing the functionality and application of Reporting.
Periodic Report Scheduling Settings:
It generates and sends out the periodic report to the designated recipient(s) on
schedules.
History Report Retrieving Settings:
It generates the report of a specific date and instantly sends it to the designated
recipient(s).
Navigate
to
System
Æ Settings Æ Settings to enable email notification and
configure its related settings. And then refer to the following to adjust settings
under Reporting
Æ Settings:
1. Tick
Enable the mailing of Periodic Report and then tick Yearly report,
Monthly report, Weekly report and Daily report.
2. Click
on
OK. (Figure 16-1)
3. Recipient will be receiving reports on schedules. (Figure 16-2, 3)
4. Under
History Report Retrieving Settings section, specify the date of issue.
5. Click
on Send Report. (Figure 16-4)
6. Recipient shall receive report(s) by now. (Figure 16-5, 6)
Schedule for periodic report:
1. Yearly report is produced at 24 o’clock on January 1st of a year.
2. Monthly report is produced at 24 o’clock on the 1st of a month.
3. Weekly report is produced at 24 o’clock on the first day of a week.
4. Daily report is produced at 24 o’clock of a day.
