The components packaged in this kit have been assembled and machined for specific type of conversions. Modifications to any of the components

will void any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changes that will be required to complete your conversion, we strongly
recommend that you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the assembly of Advance Adapter components.
We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are
normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.

These kits are designed to fit Ford small block 302 to GM automatics ONLY. Please read the following
instructions before you begin to assemble.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.

Remove the stock Ford
dowel pins and shorten
approximately 1/8".
The stock dowel pins
need to be flush with
the new adapter plate.

2.

Install the stock
Ford 302 dust cover
shield. This shield
provides the proper
index and location
for the Ford starter.

3.

Install the new flexplate to the block. The recommended
torque specification is 75-85 ft./lbs.

4.

Install the new adapter plate to the block. Fasten the block
using the F.H.C.S.

5.

"Check fit" the torque converter adapter ring on the motor
for the proper crank index. It should be a "slip-fit".

DO NOT

FORCE THE TWO TOGETHER.

Some older crank shafts

may need to be deburred as necessary.
