ICM Recording Monitor
This feature lets you turn the speaker volume for voice messages On
or Off . When you turn the monitor Off , you will not hear messages
as they come in.

Press Menu/Set , 2 , 7 , 3 .

Use ▲ or ▼ to select Off (or On ).
Press Menu/Set .

Press Stop/Exit .
Recording a conversation
If you are using the handset, you can record a telephone
conversation by pressing
Play/Record during the conversation.
Your recording can be as long as the Incoming Message Maximum
Time. The other party will hear an intermittent beep while recording.
To stop recording, press
Stop/Exit .
Record Fax/Tel Outgoing Announcement
(F/T OGM)
This is the announcement played by your Brother machine (not an
external TAD) when someone calls and your machine is set to
Fax/Tel receive mode. Although callers hear your announcement,
they cannot leave a message. By choosing
F/T Message (not TAD
Message ) you can record the announcement using the same steps
as for the TAD outgoing message. (See Recording TAD Outgoing
Message on page 7-2.) You can also listen to and erase the F/T
Message the same way, by choosing
F/T Message (not TAD
Message ). (See Listening to Outgoing Message (OGM) on page 7-3
and Erasing Outgoing Message (OGM) on page 7-3.)
