To create a book package:
1 Click the Create button on the Newton Press screen, or choose Create Package from the
File menu.
A dialog box appears.
2 Type a name for your book package.
Choose a location for your book package on your hard disk or in a folder, if
you want.
3 Click Save.
Installing a package on a Newton PDA
You can install book packages as well as other kinds of Newton packages on a
Newton PDA. To install a package, you must connect the Newton PDA to
your computer or network. For instructions for connecting your device and
computer, see Chapter 1, “Getting Started.”
Also be sure that you’ve identified the type of connection you have in the
Preferences dialog box of the Newton Press application. For more information
about selecting connection preferences, see Chapter 7, “ Setting Preferences.”
By the way: Newton Press automatically installs the book package when you
create it. To turn off automatic installation, see Chapter 7, “Setting
Preferences.”
The next section describes how to install book packages if you don’t choose
to use automatic installation.
