Adding topics to the table of contents

You can add as many topics to a table of contents as you want. Once you add
a topic, the Table of Contents window opens automatically showing you the
new topic.

To add a topic to the table of contents:

Select the text in the book that you want added to the table of contents.

Click the Topic button, or choose New Topic from the Book menu.

The Table of Contents window appears and the new topic is added to the list.
The topic is automatically inserted in correct order within the list of other
topics. If no text is selected when you add a topic, an untitled topic is added to
the Table of Contents window which you can then edit.
