You can also precisely position tab stops on the ruler. Double-click a tab
marker on the ruler and a Tab dialog box appears in which you can specify a
tab position. Type a number and specify “in” for inches, “cm” for centimeters,
“mm” for millimeters, or “pt” for points to indicate the measuring system
you’re using.
To set tab stops:
1 Click where you want to create tabbed text, or select the text you want to set up with
tabbed spacing.
2 Choose Show Tabs from the Format menu
The Tab window appears.
3 Click the ruler to set a tab. Drag a tab left or right to move it, or drag it from the ruler to
remove it.
