How to repair a hard disk or floppy disk
You can repair some types of disk damage by using the Disk First Aid
program, which is on the Macintosh Performa CD: Performa Software, a CD
that came with your computer.
1 Start up your computer from the Macintosh Performa CD: Performa Software.
See “Starting Up From the Macintosh Performa CD: Performa Software” earlier
in this section.
2 Click the Disk First Aid icon in the Launcher to open the Disk First Aid program.
3 Click the icon of the disk you want to test.
Disk icons appear in a box at the top of the Disk First Aid window.
