Follow the onscreen instructions.

The Assistant guides you through the steps necessary to set up the software. To learn more
about each step, click the Tell Me More button in the window.

If you need to change any setup information in the future, you can use the NetBoot Server
Setup Assistant to make changes.

If You Need to Install NetBoot Server Software

If you purchased your software as a standalone package without hardware, you need to
install NetBoot server software. NetBoot server software is on a separate CD that comes as
part of your software package. You must install NetBoot server software on a computer that
already has the Mac OS X Server software installed and set up. (See Chapter 3, “Installing Mac
OS X Server,” on page 13 for instructions on installing Mac OS X Server.)

To install NetBoot server software, follow these steps:

Insert the NetBoot Server CD in your computer’s CD-ROM drive.

Double-click the NetBoot Server CD icon.

Double-click NetBootInstaller.assistant.

Follow the onscreen instructions.

Restart the computer when installation is complete.

Open the NetBoot Server Setup Assistant.

If the NetBoot Server Setup Assistant doesn’t open automatically, open it by double-clicking
Assistant.app in the /System/Administration directory. When the Assistants window opens,
double-click NetBoot Server Setup Assistant.
