Planning Your Network

As you plan your network, you’ll need to gather information that you’ll use when you set up
the network. You can write down this information on the NetBoot Server Worksheet, on
page 27.

Determining How Many Clients to Connect to the Server

The number of NetBoot client computers you can connect to your server depends on how
your server is configured as well as a number of other factors. A NetBoot server that has this
configuration can easily support 25 NetBoot client computers:
m Macintosh G3 computer with a 400 MHz processor
m 256 MB of random-access memory
m Two 9 GB hard disks
m Four-port, 100Base-T Ethernet card
