9. Remove (1) 14mm bolt from lower transmission bracket.
10. Remove (1) 14mm bolt from upper transmission bracket.
11. Using a flat-head screwdriver, pry the downpipe support bracket out
from the lower transmission bracket.
12. Drop downpipe.
Installing GrimmSpeed Catless Bellmouth Downpipe
1. Position downpipe onto turbo(remember to place new gasket
between).
2. Push rear of downpipe up towards vehicle until downpipe support
bracket snaps onto the lower transmission bracket.
3. Loosely install (1) 14mm bolt to lower transmission mount.
4. Loosely install (2) 14mm nuts/bolts to cat-back(remember to place
new gasket between).
5. Loosely install (3) 14mm nuts and (2) 14mm nuts/bolts from
downpipe to turbo.
6. Torque all nuts/bolts to factory torque specs.
7. Install factory o2 sensor. Make sure to use anti-seize on threads.
8. If you are reusing stock turbo heatshield, some trimming will be
necessary to fit around new bellmouth downpipe.
9. Install intercooler
10. Install BOV.
11. Turn on vehicle and bring to temp.
12. Turn off vehicle, allow to cool, recheck tightness of all bolts/buts.
NOTE: Installing the GrimmSpeed Catless Bellmouth Downpipe affects the
vehicles boost level. Retune will be necessary to maximize vehicle
drivability and power.
NOTE: Some vehicles may throw a check engine light code P0420
CATALYTIC CONVERTER INEFFICIENCY. To fix this you can either install a
spark plug anti-fouler to raise the o2 sensor out of the downpipe or you can
install the electrical fix using a mil eliminator. Most resistors can be found
at your local hardware store.
