22 PREPARATION
Infrared remote control
Loading the batteries
1 Open the battery compartment cover.
2 Insert two 'AA' (LR-6) batteries as indicated inside
the battery compartment.
3 Close the cover.
Caution: Do not mix old and new batteries. Also
never mix different types of batteries (standard,
alkaline, etc.)
Remote control device code
To operate the player via the remote control without
response from a second DVD player, you can program
both player and remote control to use a second set of
remote control codes.
The default system code is Code 1.
Programming the player to respond to
Code 2
1 Press ON/OFF to switch off the player.
2 Simultaneously press SOUND MODE and /
OPEN/CLOSE on the player for three seconds
and then press ON/OFF to switch the player on
again.
➤ The player will now be programmed to respond
to Code 2.
➤ When steps 1 and 2 are repeated the system
code is set to Code 1 again.
Selecting the remote control code
● Simultaneously press
DISPLAY and 1 or 2 on the
remote control to select code 1
or 2.
➤ The remote control will now
be set to the remote control code of your choice.
➤ This action can be repeated whenever necessary.
