Warning:
If the network message service (e.g. 1571) is enabled on your line, you must set the answering machine to
answer calls after either 2 or 4 rings, otherwise the message service will take the call first.
12.12.2 Set the Maximum Recording Time for Incoming Messages
You can set the maximum length of the recording time of the incoming messages to be either 1, 2 or 3
minutes, or of unlimited length up to the available memory left on the answering machine.

You can select to turn on or off the call screening on the base.

12.12.4 Activate Remote Access
You can check messages, or otherwise operate your TAM, by calling the TAM when you are away from
home and dialling a 4-digit remote access PIN from a tone-dialling phone, provided the Remote Access
is turned on.

/ to select ”ON” or ”OFF” to turn on or off the remote access respectively.

12.12.5 Change the 4-Digit Remote Access PIN
You can change your 4-digit Remote Access PIN for added security to prevent other people from
unauthorised access of your answering machine.

tPress and / to select ”TAM SETTINGS”.
tPress and / to select ”CHANGE PIN”.
tPress to show ”PIN ?”, and then enter the current PIN (default 0000).
tPress to show ”NEW PIN”, then enter your new 4-digit PIN.
tPress to show ”REPEAT”, then enter your new 4-digit PIN again.
tPress to confirm the change.
12.12.6 Reset TAM to Default Settings
You can reset your answering machine to the default settings, without deleting any messages.

tPress and / to select ”TAM SETTINGS”.

/ to select ”TAM DEFAULT.”
tPress to show “PIN ?”, and then enter the system PIN code. (Default is 0000)
tPress to restore the TAM settings to default.
