Discovery Setting section
•
IP Broadcast:
Select
Enabled
if an IP broadcast is to be
used when searching for devices. A broadcast
is sent to devices on the network and a search
is performed. This increases the speed of the
search; however, devices that are not
compatible with the broadcast cannot be
found.

SNMP Ping:
Select
Enabled
if an SNMP ping is to be used
when searching for devices.
An SNMP request is sent to all devices within
a network search range and a search is
performed. This reduces the speed of the
search; however, a more reliable result can be
achieved.
SNMP Setting section
•
Time Out:
Type in the length of time (in milliseconds, 1
second = 1000 milliseconds) to wait for a
response when searching for devices.
•
Retries:
Type in the number of attempts that are made
when a search for devices fails.
•
SNMPv1 Table:
Add or remove read community names and
port numbers used when searching for devices
compatible with SNMPv1.
