Loading Media
How do I load media?
Note
Do not mix media of different types and sizes, as this will cause media
misfeeds or machine trouble
Note
Paper edges are sharp and may cause injuries.
When refilling media, first remove any media remaining in the tray. Stack it
with the new media, even the edges, then reload it.
Tray 1 (Manual Feed Tray)
For details on the types and sizes of media that can be printed from Tray 1,
refer to “Media Specifications” on page 4-2.

If paper is loaded in Tray 1 when the machine is turned on, a MEDIA
JAM error will occur. Be sure to remove all paper from Tray 1 before
turning on the machine.

If paper is loaded into Tray 1 while the machine is printing, a MEDIA
JAM error will occur. Wait until printing is finished before loading paper
into Tray 1.
When loading the second sheet of paper, wait until the first page is
completely fed out and the READY indicator lights up in orange before
loading paper into Tray 1.
