1. Connect the mini-SAS connector of the mini-SAS to 2.5-inch SAS combo cable to the RAID card.
Note: For the RAID 500 Adapter, connect the mini-SAS connector to Port 0. For the RAID 700 Adapter,
connect the mini-SAS connector to Ports 3-0. See “RAID card” on page 21.

2. Connect one end of the SAS-hard-disk-drive-LED cable to the hard-disk-drive-activity-LED connector
on the RAID card, if supported.
3. Install the RAID card to the riser card assembly. See “Installing the RAID card” on page 62.
4. Connect the other end of the SAS-hard-disk-drive-LED cable to the hard-disk-drive-LED connector on
the system board. See “System board components” on page 32.
