Camera/Computer Communications
EVF (electronic
viewfinder) is not
on. EVF has timed out. You
haven’t looked through
the EVF for 15 seconds
or more. Look through the EVF to turn the
display back on.
The display is set to the
LCD screen. Push the EVF/LCD button to
change the display (
page 7 ).
Problem Cause Solution
The computer
cannot
communicate
with the
camera.

There is a problem with
the configuration of the
USB port on the

Camera power is off. Turn on the camera ( page 5 ).
Battery is not charged. Recharge the battery ( page 85 ).
Use a Kodak: 5-Volt AC adapter,
EasyShare camera dock 6000, or
EasyShare printer dock 6000 to
transfer pictures.
Some Advanced Power
Management utilities on
laptops turn off ports to
save battery life. See the Power Management section
of the laptop user’s guide to disable
this feature.
USB cable is not
securely connected. Connect cable to camera and
computer port (
page 79 ).
