Now secure the air cleaner backing plate onto the SU
carburettor with the (4) bolts and star washers included in
the air cleaner kit. Tighten all (4) bolts securely.
Place the air cleaner gasket (1094-0014 included in SU
kit) onto the SU air cleaner flange, then place backing
plate with the hose connector installed against the gasket.
Installation the straight plastic hose connector into the air
cleaner backing plate should look like this when done..
Backing plate will look like this when fully installed.
