PDATE PROCEDURE
!
To upgrade the DMX
Ultimate
Converter to the latest firmware you will require the following:
• The update software package
• A serial cable – male 9-pin to either female 9-pin or male 25-pin depending on
your PC. This must be a "straight thru" cable not a null modem cable.
DANGER!
There is a risk of electric shock while performing this procedure. Do not touch the
circuit board with any object or body part with power applied. Be especially careful
around the left circuit board, as this is the power supply board. This is a procedure
for qualified personnel only.
1. Check the existing version of software in the Converter. To do this cycle through the menu
to USER OPTIONS; Scroll down to ABOUT and press OK. Note the major version number –
i.e. V2.10 is version 2, V1.80 is version 1.
