12) SMBus Connector (5-1 pin SMB_CON)
This connector allows you to connect SMBus (System Management Bus) devices.
SMBus devices communicate by means of the SMBus with an SMBus host
and/or other SMBus devices. SMBus is a specific implementation of an I
2 C bus,
a multi-device bus that allows multiple chips to connect to the same bus and
enables each one to act as a master by initiating data transfer.
13) ASUS iPanel Connector (24-1 pin AFPANEL)
This connector allows you to connect an optional ASUS iPanel, an easy-to access
drive bay with front I/O ports and status LEDs. The ASUS iPanel provides easy
and convenient connectivity to USB devices, as well as easy access to important
computer operations as web browsing and email. If you are not using an ASUS
iPanel, you can connect an optional wireless transmitting and receiving infrared
module to the SIR connector.
