Loader slow or will
not lift and/or dump.

Hydraulic oil too heavy.

Change to proper oil.

Oil filter plugged.

Clean or replace filter.

Hydraulic pump worn.

Repair or replace pump.
4.
Oil line restricted or leaking.
4.
Check all hoses and tubes for
leaks, damage or restrictions.
Replace damaged or restricted
hoses or tube oil lines.
5.
Control valve does not shift
properly.

Inspect, clean, repair or replace
valve.
6.
Air in hydraulic system.
6.
Cycle lift cylinders and bucket
cylinders several times to free
system of air.
7.
Cylinder leaks internally.
7.
Replace seals.
8.
Faulty relief valve (tractor).

Clean or replace relief valve.

Loader chatters or
vibrates when raising
or lowering.

Air leak in pump inlet line.
1.
Check, tighten or replace inlet
line.

Air in hydraulic system.

Cycle lift and bucket cylinders.

Oil level too low.

Add oil as required.

Faulty relief valve (tractor).

Replace relief valve.

Loaded bucket
dumps or uncurls
when control valve is
in neutral.

Check for air leaks, restrictions or
collapsed hose. Tighten or
replace hose. Clean filter if
necessary.

Oil level too low.

Add oil as required.

Pump worn or damaged

Repair or replace pump.
6.
Excessive wear on
bucket cutting edge.
1.
Bucket is riding on cutting edge
instead of wear pads.
1.
Use boom FLOAT position or
bucket level indicator to ensure
bucket rides on wear pads.
7.
Loader raises when
bucket is rolled back.
1.
Air in lift cylinder lines.
1.
Slowly cycle all cylinders to purge
system
of air. Replenish hydraulic
system.
8.
Bucket cutting edge
not flat on the
ground.
1.
Rear axle on tractor not level from
side to side.
1.
With tractor on level surface,
compare rear axle height from left
to right, measuring from axle
center to ground. Adjust air
pressure in rear tires until axle
height measures the same for
both sides.
