Combining messages by erasing the index
You can combine two messages into one by erasing the index.
In stop mode, follow the steps below:

Press . or > to display the number of the
second of the two messages you want to combine.

While pressing INDEX/BOOKMARK, press ERASE
for more than 1 second.
“ID ERASE” will flash for 10 seconds.

Press ERASE while the display is flashing.
The two messages are combined into one and the
messages will be renumbered as in the illustration
above.
To cancel erasing
Press xSTOP before step 3.
Notes
• After combining messages by erasing an index, the latter message’s alarm
setting, priority mark(s) and bookmark will be deleted.
• If a bookmark has been added to the message, the above steps first delete the
bookmark (page 22). Repeat the steps to erase the index.
•Due to the recording system of an IC recorder, you may not be able to add or
delete an index in some cases (page 61).
