Caller ID Operation
CID Memory
• Press
SELECT
to edit the telephone number. You
can make any changes to the number by using the
CID
V
button to erase characters, or using the dial-
pad to enter new ones (see pages 23-24 for instruc-
tions).
• Press
SELECT
. You can now choose to assign a dis-
tinctive ringer to this entry. Press
V
or
^
to
choose Y (for yes) or N (for no). If you choose Yes
(and if you have Caller ID service), a different ringing
style will alert you when this person calls. (This step
is for the cordless handset only).
• Press
SELECT
again and a long beep sound signals
that the information has been stored in the directo-
ry.
Deleting a number from the CID Memory
• Press
CID
V
on the base unit or on the cordless
handset to activate the CID Memory.
• Press
V
or
^
on the base unit or on the cordless
handset to scroll to the incoming call entry to be
deleted.
• When the desired record is displayed on the screen,
press
INTERCOM/CID DEL
on the base (
INT/DELETE
on the cordless handset) to delete the entry.
NOTE:
Deleting an incoming call record on the base unit does not auto-
matically delete the same record from the cordless handset. Likewise, deleting
an incoming call record on the cordless handset does not automatically delete
the same record from the base unit.
NOTE:
When an entry is deleted, the next oldest record is displayed.
NOTE:
At the base, when you need to place a call on the handset, you
can also lift the corded handset first, and then find the CID entry you want and
press
DISP DIAL.
