Locking your CLIÉ handheld with a password (Data protection)

Rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select the Security icon on
the Application Launcher screen and press the Jog Dial™
navigator.
The Security screen is displayed.
Tip
You can also tap the Security icon to display the Security screen.

Follow “Assigning a password” on page 182 to assign a
password.

Tap Lock & Turn Off.
The System Lockout screen is displayed.

Tap Off & Lock.
Your CLIÉ handheld turns off and locks.
To turn on your CLIÉ handheld, you must enter the correct password.
Note
The Graffiti
®
writing system will be displayed in System Lockout mode, even if you
were using the Decuma Input system.
You can drag the stylus from left to right on the status bar to switch the
Silk screen area.
