Menu Guide—The Shooting Menu
Image Quality
To reduce the amount of memory that each shot
occupies, pictures taken at settings other than HI
are compressed as they are saved to the memory
card. Compression selectively reduces the quality
of the image; the more the picture is compressed,
the more noticeable this loss of quality is likely to
be. The actual effect depends on the size of the
picture when printed or displayed and on the type
of subject.
Confirming Image Quality and Size Settings
The current image quality and size settings are dis-
played in the monitor. Image size is not displayed
at a setting of 2272
×
