Installing an Optional SFP Module
For the
AT-8550SP
To install an optional SFP module in an AT-8550SP switch, perform the
following procedure:
Note
A SFP module can be hot-swapped; you do not have to power off a
switch to install it.
1.
Unpack the SFP module from its shipping container and store the
packaging material in a safe location.
Note
You must use the original shipping material if you need to return
the module to Allied Telesyn.
Warning
A SFP module can be damaged by static electricity. Be sure to
observe all standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions, such
as wearing an antistatic wrist strap, to avoid damaging the module.
