ADD VLAN MACADDRESS
Syntax
add vlan=
name
|
vid
macaddress|destaddress=
mac-address
Parameters
vlan
Specifies the name or VID of the VLAN to be modified.
macaddress or
Specifies the MAC address to add to the VLAN. These
destaddress
parameters are equivalent. A MAC address can be
entered in either of the following formats:
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx or xxxxxxxxxxxx
Description
This command adds a MAC address to a MAC address-based VLAN. You
can add only one address at a time with this command. The command
does not accept ranges or wildcards.
The VLAN must already exist. To create a MAC address-based VLAN,
see “CREATE VLAN TYPE=MACADDRESS” on page 538. After you add
a MAC address to a VLAN, you can assign it one or more egress ports
using “ADD VLAN PORT MACADDRESS” on page 537.
Examples
The following command adds the MAC address 00:30:84:32:8A:5D to the
Sales VLAN:
add vlan=sales macaddress=00:30:84:32:8a:5d
The following command adds the MAC address 00:30:84:32:76:1A to the
VLAN with the VID 12:
add vlan=12 macaddress=00308432761a
