Troubleshooting
Follow the guidelines below to test and troubleshoot the installation in the
event a problem occurs.
If the PWR LED is OFF, do the following:
ˆ If the unit is installed on a desktop, check to be sure that the power
adapter is securely connected to a power outlet and that the power
adapter cable is securely connected to the back of the media
converter.
ˆ If the unit is installed in an AT-MCR1 or AT-MCR12 chassis, check
that the unit is fully seated in the slot.
ˆ Verify that the power outlet has power by connecting another device
to it.
ˆ Try using another power adapter.
If the LINK LED for the twisted pair port is OFF, do the following:
ˆ Check that the end-node connected to the port is powered ON and is
operating properly.
ˆ Check that the twisted pair cable is securely connected to the twisted
pair port on the media converter and on the remote end-node.
ˆ Make sure that the twisted pair cable does not exceed 100 meters
(328 feet) and that you are using Category 3 or better cable.
ˆ Verify that the end-node is operating at 10 Mbps and full- or
half-duplex mode if connected to an AT-MC13.
