Installing SFP+
Transceiver
Perform the following procedure to install a SFP+ transceiver:
1. Remove the dust plug from a SFP+ slot on the switch. Refer to Figure
24.

2. Remove the module from its shipping container and store the
packaging material in a safe location.
3. If you are installing the module in the top SFP+ slot, position the
module with the handle facing up as shown in Figure 25. If you are
installing the module in the bottom slot, position the module with the
handle facing down.

4. Verify that the SFP module handle is closed against the body of the
module.
5. Slide the module into the slot until it snaps into place as shown in
Figure 26 on page 58.
