Accessibility
Configure options for improving your phone’s
accessibility.
Voice Recognition
Your phone offers Voice Service, which uses
advanced voice recognition to recognize your
spoken commands to dial phone numbers,
create messages, and launch phone features.
For more information, see “Voice Service” on
page 48.
1. From the Main screen, press the
MENU/OK Key ➔ TOOLS + SETTINGS ➔
Settings ➔ Others ➔ Accessibility ➔
Voice Recognition.
2. Use the
Navigation Key to highlight
items, then press the
MENU/OK Key to
select:
• Confirmation: Choose whether, and how, Voice
Service prompts you with a list of potential
matches to your voice command. Choose
Automatic, Always Confirm, or Never
Confirm.
• Adaptation: Train Voice Service to recognize
your voice. Choose Adapt Voice and follow the
prompts.
• Audio Modes: Control the level of guidance
Voice Service provides. Choose Prompt Mode to
have Voice Service give you a spoken prompt for
information. Choose Expert Mode to have Voice
Service use only beeps to prompt you.
• About: View information about Nuance Voice
Service.
Voice Guide
Voice Guide provides spoken readouts of items
you highlight or select on your phone. For
example, if you highlight Contacts on the Menu,
you’ll hear the readout “Contacts”.
1. From the Main screen, press the
MENU/OK Key ➔ TOOLS + SETTINGS ➔
Settings ➔ Others ➔ Accessibility ➔
Voice Guide.
2. Use the
Navigation Key to highlight On
to enable Voice Guide, or Off, then press
the
MENU/OK Key.
