Configuring Timed Rules
From the Timed Rules window, you can configure the frequency that the timed
rules operation will process Email, Combination, FTP, Output and Report to
File actions. Using the Timed Rules feature, you also can edit, test and delete
an existing timed rule. The system handles up to 25 timed rules.
The timed rule shown in Figure 4.3 is used to send the FTP_Temp_File
(action) every 60 minutes. The FTP file contains one report or several reports
written to a file (Temp_File) using the Report to File action. Before configuring
a timed rule, you must create the FTP action (FTP_Temp_File) using the FTP
option in the Configuration tab.

To confi gure a timed rule:
NOTE: When a timed rule is evaluated by the system, the Freq(Min) value is evaluated against
the system clock. If appropriate, the action is processed.
1. After launching the web GUI, click Application - Timed Rules. The Timed
Rules window displays a list of timed rules.
2. Click Create New to add a new timed rule. A new row is added to the
Timed Rules table.
