Feet Installation (8040 Model)
Materials:
• Part A (2)
• Part B2
• Part J
• Part K
• Part L
• Part M
• Part N
• 9/16” Wrench
5. Repeat Steps 2 through 4 on the remaining
three corners.
6. Remove the Allen Head Screw (Part M) from
the arm of each Base Assembly (Part A) and
keep for use at a later step.
7. With slots facing inside, slide the Bottom
Center Piece (Part B2) over both Base Assembly
Arms.
8. Reattach the Allen Head Screw in the slots of
the Bottom Center Piece (Part B2) (See Fig. 8).

The Allen Head Screws on the
bottom center piece of the Posey Bed must be
secure, but loose enough so the A-Frame slides
freely when raising or lowering the head or
foot of the hospital bed. A failure to heed this
warning may interfere with proper operation of
the hospital bed (See red arrows fig. 8).
1. Unfold each Base Assembly (Part A) until
corners are at 90-degrees (Fig. 5).
2. Place a Flat Washer (Part K) over the Foot Post
(Part N) (Fig. 5)
3. Insert the Feet (Part N) into the pre-drilled
hole next to the corner receptacle in the Base
Assembly (Part A).
4. Place a Star Washer (Part L) and Nut (Part J) on
the Feet Bolt (Fig. 6). Use the 9/16” wrench
(not provided) to tighten. Feet should now be
properly installed (Fig. 7).
