the frame and the negative (BLUE) terminal on the pump. (If using the existing fuel pump, disconnect
the previously installed power feed to it. The new QFI ECU will control the pump.)
Step 3
: Connect the PINK wire marked “KEY” to the power source that supplies battery voltage when
the key is in the “On” position and the “Crank” position.
Be certain the voltage to the PINK ignition wire MUST see 12 volts, and NEVER fall below 9.5 volts
when cranking the engine.
Step 4:
Connecting to the ignition system -- READ CAREFULLY! Refer to the wiring diagrams below
for the BASIC WIRING DIAGRAM (Figure 1), and four popular ignition system applications.
Begin the wiring of the ignition system by referring to Figure 1 (below). All ignition system options
will REQUIRE these to be connected.
