During installation,

when I connect a USB cable
between the printer and my
computer, the “New
Hardware Wizard” message
appeared once, but the
printer did not install, and
now “New Hardware Wizard”
will not appear again.

Connect the printer directly to the USB port on the
computer.

Disconnect the USB cable from your printer.

Insert the printer software CD (or Disk 1 if you
have diskettes) into your computer.

The printer is really slow

You may be

using a USB cable and
other USB devices are in
use.

Attach the printer’s USB cable directly to the
computer, rather than at the end of a daisy chain.

Avoid using other devices in the daisy chain while
printing.
