This data volume pair is not synchronized
because the primary storage system or
secondary storage system has suspended the
pair due to an error condition. For XP
Continuous Access Journal pairs, the primary
storage system and secondary storage system
keep track of any journal data that was
discarded during the suspension operation. The
primary storage system keeps track of the
primary data volume tracks that are updated
while the pair is suspended.
For XP Continuous Access Journal pairs, if the
primary storage system detects an XP
Continuous Access Journal suspension condition
(see
“Suspension Condition” (page 41)
), the
primary storage system changes the secondary
data volume status to PSUE.
For XP Continuous Access Journal pairs, if the
primary storage system detects an XP
Continuous Access Journal suspension condition
(see
“Suspension Condition” (page 41)
), the
secondary storage system changes the
secondary data volume status to PSUE. The
primary storage system detects this (if the path
status is normal) and changes the primary data
volume status to PSUS.

XP Continuous Access Journal monitors the total
amount of data in the journal volume. If the
amount of data exceeds the threshold (80%),
the pair status changes from COPY or PAIR to
PFUL. The write data that inflows is monitored
during the specified time (Data Overflow
Watch). The time period for monitoring can be
set using the Remote Web Console software
(default setting is 60 seconds).
The PFUL status is displayed by RAID Manager.
Remote Web Console displays this status as
PAIR.
PFUL
Read Only; Read
and write, if the
write option is
enabled (Disable
is the default
setting).

If the time period exceeds the specified
monitoring time period, the pair status changes
from PFUL to PFUS, and the pair is suspended.
The PFUS status is displayed by RAID Manager.
Remote Web Console displays this status as
PSUS.
If a virtual volume of XP Thin Provisioning
(TP-VOL) is being used as an XP Continuous
Access Journal S-VOL and the capacity of a
Pool-VOL is running short, the pair status turns
PFUS and the pair is suspended.
