22 Setup Guide
To set up Windows
The OmniBook has Microsoft Windows—Windows 95, Windows 98, or
Windows NT—installed on the hard disk drive.
Before you begin, be sure to connect the AC adapter, since your battery may not be
sufficiently charged to complete the Windows setup. Also, if you have a modem,
connect the phone line.
1. Press the blue power button.
2. The Windows Setup program starts automatically.
3. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.
During setup, you are prompted to:

Accept the License Agreement.
•
Enter the Product ID (printed on the Certificate of Authenticity on the
Microsoft Windows manual).
•
Enter a user name; a password is optional.
