To connect to an internal USB 2.0 port (as in many ProLiant servers)

1.

Use the schematic on the inside of the server panel to check whether your server has an internal

USB 2.0 port and locate its position.

2.

Use the cable supplied with the tape drive to connect to the server.
• If your server has a 4-pin USB port, use the supplied, special, 4-pin USB cable, as illustrated

• If your server has a standard USB port, use a standard USB cable. You can use the supplied

standard USB cable and the cable ties to tidy excess cable length.

To an external USB 2.0 port

Use the standard USB cable and Cable Routing Kit supplied with the tape drive. The Cable Routing

Kit consists of a grommet, bracket and cable ties. The tape drive (Type B) has a different type of USB

connector to the server (Type A), so make sure you orientate the Cable Routing Kit correctly when

you assemble it, see
