Unknown

The object has been excluded from monitoring. Only displayed at the lowest
level (information stores). When an object is excluded, the status of the object
is not aggregated to the upper layer.

About aggregation rules for protection status

The Applications view consists of three levels: application (Microsoft Exchange or SQL Server), the
servers running the application, and the storage groups (Exchange 2003/2007), information stores
(Exchange 2010), or database instance (SQL) allocated to each server. To simplify monitoring, a
series of status labels are applied to each level in the structure. In order of priority, the labels are:

Critical

Unknown

Warning

Normal

The data protection status and latest replica are aggregated from the bottom up based on these rules:

If one or more instance of Critical exists on a level, the upper level is also labeled Critical
