The storage was not provisioned using hpsp_spt.
Suggested action
It is advisable to use hpsp_spt only for the listing operations.

The state of one or more drives in the storage enclosure is LEFTOVR.
One or more drives in the storage enclosure are not detected by the MSA controller.
One or more volumes/Vdisks listed in the defined storage hpsp_spt profile are missing.
Suggested action
1. Run the hpsp_spt --listDrives command and check the state of all the drives.
2. If the total drives discovered are fewer than expected, replace the drives that are not detected.
3. If the drive state is LEFTOVR, run the hpsp_spt –addSpare --force
command. This command clears the disk metadata and adds the disk as a global spare.
4. Run the hpsp_spt –repair command to fully provision the system.
ERROR:0x4342: Failed to reassign the controller for Vdisk: .
The reassignment of controller ownership failed.
Suggested action
Retry the hpsp_spt operation again.
hpsp_spt --repair operation failed with ERROR:0x4422: Failed to retrieve volume
information
The MSA command to get the volume information timed out.
Suggested action
Retry the hpsp_spt operation.
