Transmit
The Transmit screen will be displayed after you touch Transmit [T] on the Diagnostic Tools
screen or press “T” on the keyboard and select a frequency (see page 17) if you are in the
frequency hopping mode. If you are in the narrow band mode, you will immediately see the
Transmit screen. The purpose of the Transmit screen is to help you determine the best location
for the repeater so that a receiver on the street can hear the repeater’s transmissions.
Button Functions
Transmit SN [S]—Touch the button or press “S” on the key-board to enter the serial num-ber of
the repeater you are testing.
Transmit Delay [D]—Touch the button or press “D” on the keyboard to change the delay time in
15-second steps, from 15 seconds up to 225 seconds (3 minutes, 45 seconds). The selected
time should be enough for you to reach the receiving unit before transmission begins.
Transmit Time [T]—Touch the button or press “T” on the keyboard to choose a length of time
that you want the unit to transmit without stopping. Times change in 15-second steps, from 15
seconds up to 225 seconds (3 minutes, 45 seconds).
Start Transmit [R]— Touch the button or press “R” on the keyboard to begin the countdown that
will lead to the test transmission.
Done [X]—Touch the button or press “X” on the keyboard to return to the Program Repeater
screen.
