Vented Cable Extender Overview
The vented cable extender is designed to work with Virtual HERMIT
®
and Level
TROLL
®
700 Instruments in sealed-well remediation projects.
The vented cable extender has a vented fitting on the down-well end that connects to a
vented cable that is attached to a vented Level TROLL 700 Instrument. The up-well end
of the cable extender is sealed. The side of the extender vents to the vadose zone to
compensate water-level readings for applied vacuum or ambient vadose conditions.
Important: Do not submerge the Vented Cable Extender or
position it in an area that could become submerged.
