8.2.4 Change the engine oil
Safety notes
CAUTION
Danger of burns.
When working on the engine there is a danger of burns from hot
oil.
▪ Wear personal protective equipment (gloves).
▪ Collect the used oil and dispose of it according to local envi-
ronmental regulations.
NOTICE

▪ The engine must be level.
▪ The engine must be switched off.
▪ Only drain engine oil while it is warm.
▪ The engine oil should be changed when the oil filter is
cleaned (see the chapter 8.2.5 Clean the oil filter,
page 54), since oil will run out when the filter is pulled out.
