appear during the POST. Refer to the applicable BIOS configuration section in
this user manual.
Step 4:
Save and Exit BIOS. After the SATA support option is enabled, save and exit
the BIOS.
Step 5:
Reboot the system. Reboot the system after saving and exiting the BIOS.
Step 6:
Press Ctrl+I. during the system boot process. Press Ctrl+I when prompted to
enter the RAID configuration software.
Step 7:
Configure the RAID settings. Use the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager to
configure the RAID array. Brief descriptions of configuration options are given
below.

F.4 Installing the Operating System to the RAID Array
To install the operating system to the RAID array some extra steps are necessary during
the installation process.
Step 1:
Prepare a RAID driver floppy disk on another computer. If installing on the
RAID array a RAID driver floppy disk must be made. The RAID driver floppy disk
utility is on the CD in the “5-SATA/Floppy Configuration Utility” folder. The floppy
disk will be formatted and the drivers installed.
Step 2:
Restart the system with a floppy drive attached. Attach a normal floppy drive
or USB floppy drive to the system.
Step 3:
Press F6 when prompted. During the installation process, Windows OS
prompts the user to press F6 to install the RAID drivers. Press F6 and choose
from the drivers on the floppy disk.
Step 4:
Install the OS. Continue with OS installation as usual.
