• I get a target response in Disc mode but it is weak
(or disappears) in Pinpoint mode.
See Chapter 5, “Salt Mode Anomaly.” While this phenome-
non is more prevalent in salt mode, it can occur in normal (non-
salt) mode as well.

won’t turn on.
1. The batteries could be dead.
2. Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly in the
tray.
3. If you know the batteries are good, then look down
inside the battery compartment, there are 2 metal con-
tact prongs. If those get bent forward, then they will not
contact the battery pack contacts.

suddenly shuts down.
1. The batteries could be dead.

automatically shuts down if there is no keypad or
trigger activity for 30 minutes.

is locked up, and it won’t power down.
Remove and replace the batteries.
• The coil stem is wobbly.
1. Ensure that the cam locks are tight.
2. Check the ends of the rod to make sure they are round
and have not become oval.
• The battery door won’t stay latched.
Make sure the battery door tabs are getting properly seated
into the control box latches before snapping down the latches.
• The arm cup is loose or wobbly.
Use one hand to gently squeeze the sides of the arm cup
inward as you tighten the retainer nut. This will make for a
much tighter fit.
