1 Introduction
Congratulation on your purchase of the DQP-A4, Digital Quad Processor based on USB interface! The
DQP-A4 is one of the most innovative digital surveillance systems in the market today that allows you to
convert standard camera signals (analog or composite) to digital signals to be processed on your computer.
Although the DQP-A4 has its PC aspects, it does not require a PC expert to operate. If you are unfamiliar
with operating a digital surveillance system, do not worry, for the DQP-A4 is also a non-PC (stand-alone)
quad processor that you can easily connect it to your TV or VCR and start using it right away.
1.1 Description
The DQP-A4 is a dual-mode digital quad processor that you can use as a PC-based quad processor or a
non-PC (stand-alone) quad processor. The front panel controls of the DQP-A4 allow you to focus on each
camera individually, all four cameras simultaneously (in quad screen and split screen), picture in picture (PIP),
and flipping through each camera on a preset period. The LED of the Power on indicator will be on
whenever the DQP-A4 is connected to the power adapter. The LED of the USB light indicator will be on
whenever the DQP-A4 is connected to the USB port of a computer.
There are four (4) video input connectors, a video output connector, a USB connector, and a DC 5V
connector on the rear panel of the DQP-A4. Connecting the DQP-A4 to a computer through the USB
connector will enable the DQP-A4 to be a PC-based digital quad processor. When the DQP-A4 becomes
digital, you can make such configurations as motion detection areas, motion detection sensitivity, motion
alarm notification method, schedule recording, auto recording, motion recording, and manual recording. In
addition, since all of the recordings are digital data, this makes searching for images on a specified date and
time easily. You can easily search, organize, and store camera images instantly. Best of all, you are able
to remotely monitor camera views on a remote computer via a standard Internet browser.
When the DQP-A4 is not connected to a computer through the USB port, it is a standard quad processor that
